T-Rex Feeding Frenzy

Myth, mystery and science merge in this live interactive show featuring music, puppetry and a surprising look at the roots of paleontology. This musical introduction to the eating habits and table manners of the dinosaurs explores the paleolithic food pyramid.

Backyard Fossil Hunter

Visit a strange, mysterious place with roaring active volcanoes, towering snowcapped mountains and an ancient dinosaur watering hole. Believe it or not, that place is called New Jersey. Travel 400-million years back in time, see and touch actual dinosaur fossils and help us judge the world’s first dinosaur beauty pageant.

Great Moments of Discovery Theater

You’re the star in this funny and informative show about the amazing link between the dinosaurs of yesteryear and the birds of today. Travel back in time and visit some of history’s most famous scientists at their greatest moments of discovery. It’s theater. It’s science. It’s guaranteed fun.

Mesozoic Concentration

Family Tent, 20 minutes

A fast-paced game of mixing and matching where everybody plays and everybody learns. What does it take to be a paleontologist? Kids uncover the secrets of the world’s most successful dinosaur hunters and learn that most of the tools necessary can be found in our own garages, playrooms and local libraries.

Paleo Picasso

Family Tent, 20 minutes

Meet our resident paleo-Picasso, a paint-splattering, fun-loving expert on dinosaur coloration, and help create a sixteen-foot-long dinosaur mural! Was Tyrannosaurus rex a giant pink flamingo? Did triceratops have polka dots? No one knows for sure, but we’ll see where our imaginations (and paint brushes!) take us.

Fossil Dig Site

20 minutes

Buried treasures abound at New Jersey’s most popular dig site. Giant dinosaur skeletons and real prehistoric fossils lurk beneath the surface just waiting to be unearthed. Join our team of paleontologists and see what it’s like to work on a real scientific expedition. Recommended for scientists ages three through nine.

The Box Office closes 30 minutes before park closing.
The Jurassic Zoo Bounce House opens at 11am and closes 30 minutes before park closing. For the safety of all guests and staff, the Jurassic Zoo will close in the event of rain and with winds more than 15mph.

FIELD STATION: DINOSAURS RESPONSE TO CONCERNS OVER COVID-19

Attraction To Continue Sneak Peek Week With Changes

March 13, 2020, Derby, Kan. – As the nation deals with the current spread of COVID-19, we want to assure everyone that the health and safety of our guests is of the utmost importance. In response to the announcement from the Sedgwick County Health Department about public events with more than 250 people being banned, we have made the following changes to our Spring Break Sneak Peek event. This event is set to begin on March 14th and run through March 22. All of these procedures will be followed for the entirety of our Spring Break Sneak Peek.

All shows, games and activities will only be presented at our Amphitheater, which is an open air performance space. No shows, games or activities will be presented in enclosed spaces such as the Family Tent.
All shows, games and activities at the Amphitheater will be capped at 250 attendees.
Jurassic Golf will remain open. All clubs and balls will be disinfected after each use. Participants will not be permitted to share clubs or balls.
All points of contact at the Box Office, Concessions, Front Gate and Retail will have disinfectant and/or hand sanitizer available for staff.
All contact surfaces in every bathroom will be disinfected every hour.
All performers will wash their hands – per the guidelines set by the CDC – after every show, game or activity performed.
Any staff member who is feeling ill or under the weather will not be allowed to work.

In the event that any dates are cancelled, you will be provided the opportunity for a refund or to use your Spring Break Sneak Peek Week ticket towards another similar event date for 2020. We strongly urge you to follow sensible actions when attending any public event. If you feel sick or are displaying any symptom of a cold or flu, we encourage you to stay at home.

Field Station: Dinosaurs aims to continue to provide quality entertainment in a safe environment. We continue to monitor events unfolding in the region and will make decisions based on those events, the CDC and future decisions by area health departments. We will continue to provide entertainment as long as it does not endanger the health and safety of our guests.
