Just minutes from Manhattan, Field Station: Dinosaurs is a world-class family attraction that combines cutting-edge science with a Broadway producer’s flair to create a one-of-kind experience that’s thrilling, educational and fun.
Named “One of the World Best Spots for Dinosaur Lovers” by Fodor’s, the Field Station is trip back in time with over thirty realistic hand-sculpted dinosaurs brought to life by the brilliant engineering of the world’s leading roboticists and the imagination of our paleo-artists.
Over 30 live shows, games and activities daily connect the story of the dinosaurs to our world today, giving new relevance to their lives and power to the tales of their extinction.
The science and story of the dinosaurs is vividly presented in Bergen County’s beautiful Overpeck Park, on the banks of a scenic creek and surrounded by natural woods. Paleontologists have worked to ensure that the exhibit encompasses the latest theories and discoveries in the fields of paleontology, geology and environmental studies.
At the center of it all is the fun, the joy and the wonder of dinosaurs. Our expedition takes every family on an adventure – full of mystery, surprise and a sense of awe.

The Expedition Team performs live content – ranging from 8 to 20 minutes long – all day long. You’ll be introduced to scientific theories and discussions through experiments with puppets, fun-focused competition, crowd participation, and even original, live songs.
The key to a successful expedition is your Expedition Schedule – which describes these crowd favorite shows, games and activities. The children who visit the Field Station take on the role of a visiting scientist – ready to explore, ask questions and make discoveries!
Field Station Challenge
Come on down, you’re the next contestant on the Field Station Challenge! You never know what surprises our paleontologists have in store when they reach into the box of dinosaur-themed puzzles, quizzes and games of chance.
Little Tyrants
Even the mighty T-Rex was once a little tyke. Come by and meet our hatchling and toddler T-Rexes at this funny musical romper room.
T-REX FEEDING FRENZY
Explore the dangerous world of the famous cretaceous meat eater! Meet the Mighty T-Rex and help our fearless Dinosaur Wrangler use the Scientific Method to study the eating habits of everyone’s favorite carnivore. A fun, musical show with audience participation.

Learn about one of the biggest blunders in the history of Paleontology and help us judge a hilarious Dinosaur Skull Beauty Pageant.
Build a Dinosaur With La-Q
The Japanese sensation comes to America! LaQ is a highly unique, creative construction toy. Using only 7 different pieces, children can create all kinds of dinosaurs, both real and imagined.
Fossil Dig Site
Buried Treasures abound at New Jersey’s most popular dig site. Giant dinosaur skeletons lurk beneath the surface just waiting to be unearthed. Join our team of paleontologists and see what it’s like to work on a real scientific expedition. Recommended for scientists ages three to nine.
Great Moments of Discovery
You’re the star of the show! Explore the amazing link between the birds of today and the dinosaurs of yesteryear. Meet some of the most famous scientists of all time and be witness to their greatest discoveries.
Mesozoic Concentration
A fast-paced matching game where everybody plays and everybody learns.
Paleo Eye Spy
Our newest activity features hidden treasures for your family to uncover in this life-size, Triassic twist of a classic game.
Paleo Picasso
That’s a Dinosaur of a different color! You’re the artist at this new twist on a Field Station favorite. Learn to draw a T-Rex and discover what scientists know – and don’t know – about what color the Dinosaurs might have been.
Raptor Maze
Explore every twist and turn in our maze for all ages. But use a keen eye – a trio of velociraptors are hunting for prey amongst the tall grass.
Stanley Stegosaurus
Young scientists will have a blast at the new Stanley Stegosaurus, a jungle gym that will provide endless fun and active playtime.
Scavenger Hunt
Scour the Field Station for dinosaur clues, riddles and cryptic messages stashed throughout the park. It’s the perfect family adventure for puzzle loving paleontologists.
Songs of the Troubadour
Meet Kira, the Dinosaur Troubadour, hear some of your favorite songs from the Field Station’s history and learn about her adventure’s fossil hunting in New Jersey.

JURASSIC ZOO BOUNCER
Bounce and slide in our new Jurassic Zoo Bounce House. Ticket is valid for all day admission. Valid for guests who are a minimum height of 36” and a maximum height of 76”, age 12 and under. der.

JURASSIC JUMP
Soar to the heavens on the Jurassic Jump Bungee Trampoline. Harnessed riders can jump to heights of 5 to 25 feet while centered on a trampoline. When bouncing, jumpers reach the level where they could look dinosaurs in the eye!
Includes one visit to this thrilling activity. Valid for guests between 35 to 250 pounds.

The Box Office closes 30 minutes before park closing.
The Jurassic Zoo Bounce House opens at 11am and closes 30 minutes before park closing. For the safety of all guests and staff, the Jurassic Zoo will close in the event of rain and with winds more than 15mph.
