A Message from Guy Gsell
Heavy dinosaurs need heavy equipment! For weeks, we’ve been moving dirt, digging trenches, and rolling new trails. It’s been a ton of work but the park is really coming together. The transformation is amazing and we can’t wait to welcome you and your family to the Field Station this summer. It’s just going to take a little longer than we had hoped.
Our plan was to open this Saturday, but the construction project was substantial and had a lot of moving parts. We need another three days to get the dinosaurs back on their feet and ready to roar. We’re sorry for the delay – especially, if like me, you were planning to celebrate Fathers’ Day at the park, but this is the right decision for the safety of our guests and the quality of your experience.
I hope you’ll join us this summer for all the fun, all the music, and all the laughter at Field Station: Dinosaurs. We may have lost the first two days of our season, but we have still have almost 100 days of learning and adventure ahead of us!
See you out on the trails!
Guy Gsell, Executive Producer
Field Station: Dinosaurs is…
A world-class family attraction that combines cutting-edge science with the creative minds of great artists to create a one-of-a-kind experience that’s thrilling, educational and fun.
The Field Station is a wild scientific expedition in Bergen County’s beautiful Overpeck Park, on the banks of a scenic creek and surrounded by natural woods. Over 30 life-sized, moving, realistic dinosaurs come to life thanks to the brilliant engineering of the world’s leading roboticists and the imagination of our artists.
And at the center of it all is the fun, the joy and the wonder of dinosaurs. Our expedition takes every family on a shared adventure – full of mystery, surprise and a sense of awe.
Walk along wooded trails, check out life-sized dinosaurs and enjoy a full schedule of shows, games and activities, all of which is included in your Day Pass admission.
