Dinosaurs After Dark
Friday and Saturday Evenings, October 6 through October 28
A spooky, funny and thrilling adventure for the whole family featuring a lantern lit tour of the park! But watch out! The trails are dark and there’s a hungry T-Rex lurking in the shadows. A fearless Dinosaur Wrangler will lead a Tyrannosaurus Hunt along the Field Station’s darkened trails with a stop at every dinosaur and a few surprises along the way.
At the end of the night, everyone will gather around the campfire for a dinosaur sing-a-long, roasted marshmallows and hot chocolate!
Friday and Saturday nights starting October 6 through October 28. Reservations online are required, attendance is limited.
Scout Day
Meet the experts in topics ranging from camping to lizards to paleontology. Try out hands-on activities that are applicable to Brownie and Girl Scout Badges, Cub Scout belt loops and Boy Scout merit badges. All Scouts in uniform will earn a commemorative Field Station patch!

Mad Science
Children will be dazzled and entertained as they interact with our Mad Scientists! Foggy dry ice storms, meteor drops, and even a special Mad Science Volcanic eruption! Join us in this awesome show with a prehistoric twist! This event is free with Day Pass Admission.
Sunday, August 5
Marc Rogoff
Come examine fossils of native New Jersey residents from twelve thousand to over one billion years ago with Marc Rogoff. Marc will also have props and scientific instruments from 1823-1891.
A hands-on activity will allow participants to identify (and keep) the fossils they find. This event is free with Day Pass Admission.

Paleo-Artist
Field Station’s Learn to Draw a Dinosaur Series
Chris DiPiazza, a Hillsdale, NJ native is a paleo-artist who has a degree in animal science from Rutgers University. Chris has illustrated prehistoric life for many scientific papers, posters, books, articles and museums. Chris will teach kids how to draw dinosaurs while learning fun facts about them. This event is free with Day Pass Admission.

Join Paleontologists from Elevation Science Institute who will share discoveries from recent paleo-digs. Bring your dinosaur questions and find out what it takes to go on fossil digs. This event is free with Day Pass Admission.
